Republican Primary for Governor

For two days in a row I covered U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison stops through Dallas. I ended up really enjoying the coverage leading up to the primary election on Tuesday, and features hunting was a blast.

Record Snowfall in DFW

Collin County's Only Dairy Farm

I've taken a couple drives up to Plano to visit the only dairy farm in Collin County - Lavon Farms. A year or so ago the farm opened a farm store to sell their raw milk, among other products with the Lucky Layla brand name. The store opened along with the raw milk flood gates and customers continue to pour in, grabbing their $8 gallon of milk. Proprietor Todd Moore really does an amazing job at showing people where their food comes from.

Fun side note: Mr. Moore mention that cows on the property birth on average one calf a day. I regret to say, I didn't get the chance to see and photograph the birthing.

Buffalo Sabres prospect Tyler Myers scored the first goal of his NHL career Friday night against the New York Islanders at HSBC Arena in Buffalo. The Sabres won 6-3.

It was really cold (by Floridian standards)

...when I shot some collegiate football on Saturday. In the shade at UB Stadium it had to have been 45 degrees Fahrenheit. With three more home games left in the season it is the warmest it will get for the remainder of the season.
The Big South Conf. Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs lost to the MAC Buffalo Bulls 40-3. It was pleasing, and settling to finally make some nice features images in UB Stadium - or soon to be ice bowl.

Buffalo Sabres Opening Night

I apologize for abandoning the blog since heading up to Buffalo. I have been working on occasion, mostly covering Sabres hockey and U. at Buffalo Bulls football.
I have carried my camera around Buffalo since arriving, and I'll try to post some outtakes later on.
This one is from Sabres opening night against the Montreal Canadians at HSBC on Saturday. Tonight I get to head down to HSBC again to cover the Sabres/Coyotes match.
