A rainy, victorious New Year's Eve in Memphis
I spent New Year's Eve in Memphis with my road trip companions, roommates and best friends. We were in Memphis to watch our UCF Knights (not Golden Knights) play Georgia in the Liberty Bowl. UCF won 10-6; earning its first postseason victory in program history.
Post-game: Beale Street was a river, thus hampering New Year's celebration. The Knights winning was enough for me.
Oh, yeah, and in 38 hours in Memphis all I ate was BBQ.

You can read Selwyn Crawford's story here. A video complied with a mix of still and video imagery by Ron Baselice, Jim Mahoney and myself, while edited by Ahna Hubnik, can be viewed below. The video segments consists of portions shot on a DSLR by Baselice and on an iPhone 4 by myself. I chuckled in appreciation of "mojo" journalism when I was asked, as my first assignment upon returning the DMN, to shoot video on the iPhone.
