Nice lights help a lot
I don't usually get to photograph concerts. This John Mayer concert at the American Airlines Center, in Dallas, may have been my second concert in three years. I got to photograph the first three songs of Mayer's Battle Studies Tour for Mario Tarradell's review in the Guide section of The Dallas Morning News.
Turns out the set designer for these tours design these intricate light sets just for the photographers. Here are a couple I enjoyed from the few minutes I was down in the pit.

Gorilla warfare
Not so, Tami Jochem, a senior mammal keeper at the Dallas Zoo, goes through a training routine with Patrick, a 19-year-old Silverback gorilla, at the zoo on March 2, 2010. While training sessions provide extra mental stimulation for the animal, Patrick has a choice of whether he wants to take part, and only positive reinforcement is given by Jochem.
